I wrote about this Thing last year (and here too) and it’s still pretty much the same situation. I am connected via several online networks: I use twitter a lot, and Facebook the least. Some contacts have spilled over into real life (thanks to Library Camps and other events), and I am so grateful that we can connect online with people who we want to connect to, wherever they are, to keep enthusiasm and information flowing.
I am not convinced by the CILIP online communities yet as I network elsewhere but it’s good to know they are there.
