I need some inspiration.
Training. The library service I work for is hoping to improve their staff training programme, especially in regards to online and information resources but also focusing on customer care.
Do any of your library services train staff purely online? How do you do it? How much time do staff need to complete the training? Do you break it into chunks? (How) Do you reward/motivate staff? Or do you do everything IRL, face-to-face?
Newspapers. Have any of your libraries stopped taken paper copies of newspapers and only offer them (free) online? If you do, do you have dedicated computers/devices for that? Does it work? Have you had customer comments, and what were they?
Please tell me about any examples for both those things. Thanks 🙂
