Mentoring #blogjune

Tomorrow I will attend an event for CILIP mentors in Yorkshire & Humberside. It is an event for mentors to get together and discuss issues, ideas and get to know each other. I am looking forward to it, as I’ll get to catch up with some former work colleagues, get to know new people, and have curry in Bradford at the end of the day (any recommendations?).

Being involved in mentoring can be very rewarding, especially when you can see that you have made a difference to someone’s outlook or even confidence, so I would recommend doing it if you get the opportunity. It doesn’t have to be a formal process, and even a rather short period can make a difference.
